Finally, the craft beer boom has come to North Creek! In September, Ben Endicott, Corey Cook, and Eric Tilley opened Decibel Brewing Co. on Bothell-Everett Hwy. The name is an ode to a former career as “sound guys” and all the taps are re-purposed microphones.
Though the brewery sits in an unassuming storefront next to an auto repair shop, when you walk inside the place seems like the living room/dining room you wish you had in your home. Christmas lights ring ceiling and the antique bar back makes the place seem like it’s been around for ages. I was greeted by a friendly bartender who happened to be a wife of one of the founders and easily struck up a conversation with the guy sitting next to me at the bar while drinking my flight. All the beers were great and they have enough variety and rotation that it will take several visits to try everything.
It’s tough to believe that this place just opened in the last few months as they already have a wide variety of beers on tap (best to get a flight so you can try multiple beers at once) and frequently host live events for the community including music and comedy. Decibel is already establishing itself as a community-centered, kid-friendly and dog-friendly spot, so it’s an ideal place to spend some time on a weekend and meet some neighbors.
Currently, Decibel is open Thurs-Sat 2:00PM-10:00PM and Sunday 12:00PM-8:00PM. They don’t serve food but outside food is welcome. Come drink a beer or try a flight while you sing some Christmas carols with friends and strangers this Thursday night!
