There’s a new business in the North Creek Business Park, just north of 180th on Bothell-Everett Hwy, but the man at the front of it isn’t new at all. Kevin Norris was born and raised in the North Creek area and now he’s running his own physical therapy center here with the goals of promoting mobility, reducing pain, restoring function, and preventing disability.
Last Thursday night, the facility was open to the public for a ribbon-cutting event, complete with food, beer, and a chance to get to know the new business. North Creek Physical Therapy is a branch of Therapeutic Associates, which has many locations around the area. But when the time came to open up a new clinic in North Creek, who better to run it than someone who grew up here?
Kevin has seen all the changes of this area over his years of living here and is well aware of the growing dynamic of this area. That’s a large part of the reason why this business is so community-oriented and ready to partner with schools and other organizations. And though they’ve only been open a few months, they already have a steady group of clients who are full of great things to say about Kevin and his team.
The staff is friendly and intent on serving. Mary, on staff, recalled, “It’s great helping people heal and get well but it’s also sad for us because we form great relationships with people.” She even shared a story about Kevin rushing out to the parking lot after a client when he noticed how the man was walking. Kevin took extra time to work with that client to ensure that he understood how to apply the exercises and strategies they were developing during their physical therapy sessions in his day-to-day routine.
It seems like their presence here will be full of stories like this- of being willing and ready to walk alongside people in the community wherever there is need of more healing.
